Smile Transformation Success Story

At our practice, we recently helped a patient restore their smile after facing a challenging dental issue involving a periodontal infection and a root fracture. These conditions required the placement of a dental implant to fully restore the health and appearance of their teeth.

The comprehensive treatment plan included:

  • Extraction and Bone Graft: To prepare the area for implant placement.
  • Implant Placement and Soft Tissue Graft: Ensuring stability and a natural appearance.
  • Provisional Implant-Supported Crown: Temporary restoration during the healing process.
  • Final Implant-Supported Crown: The beautiful, permanent solution designed by Dr. Mitchell.

We are thrilled with the results, and the patient is enjoying their stunning new smile.

Dental Implants | Nevins Dental Center in Boston, MA

Dr Nevins is by far the best in his field. I have had three tooth extractions, a sinus lift, and most recently an implant performed by Dr Nevins and the results have been exactly what I had hoped for. Painless procedures, fast healing time, minimal discomfort afterward.

Dr. Nevins is incredibly thorough and very precise in the work he performs. Fantastic use of modern technology – CT scan, guided tooth mold, advanced instruments – all partnering with Dr. Nevins’ skillful hand. Based on Dr. Nevins’ prep work prior to the surgery, my most recent implant surgery was painless, quick, precise, and I feel incredibly confident this implant will be a success.

As a patient with significant dental phobia, Dr Nevins and his staff have also been incredibly compassionate and worked to ensure my comfort. They even remember situations that have made me uncomfortable in the past and talk me through what will be happening before the procedure to help calm my nerves! If you are looking for immense skill, modern technology, compassion, and lasting results, Dr. Nevins should be your top choice! A++++++

Dental Implant Options For Missing Teeth

Same-Day Full-Arch Implant Solutions

Thanks to modern technology, Nevins Dental Center will provide you with a temporary full-arch bridge connected to surgically placed implants on the same day. This means you can enjoy natural-looking temporary teeth throughout your treatment without the need for dentures. Once the implants have fully integrated with your bone, your permanent bridgework will be designed and delivered, leaving you with a beautiful and durable smile.

Same-Day Dental Implant Tooth Replacement

In specific cases, we can place your implants on the same day your teeth are extracted, significantly reducing the number of appointments needed to complete your treatment. This specialized procedure requires expertise and collaboration, which Nevins Dental Center proudly offers. After the treatment, you’ll leave the office with temporary teeth supported by implants, allowing your implant(s) to heal without biting pressure for 4 to 6 weeks.

Single-Tooth Implant Crowns

Opting for single-tooth implant crowns involves placing a dental implant in your bone to support a crown. The growth factor technology employed by Nevins Dental Center accelerates bone healing and shortens treatment times. The end result is a long-lasting tooth replacement that both functions and looks natural.

Creating Confident Smiles

Nevins Dental Center is dedicated to restoring your confidence and smile through dental implants. Our use of advanced technology ensures a comfortable and seamless process, resulting in strong and esthetic restorations—regardless of the chosen solution. The best part is, once your treatment is complete, you won’t be able to distinguish between your implants and natural teeth. With proper care, your implants will last a lifetime.

Guided Surgery

Nevins Dental Center has extensive experience in utilizing guided surgery for dental implant placement. This highly precise technique enables efficient implant placement, resulting in reduced chair time and the elimination of the need for multiple surgeries. Our use of guided surgery underscores an unwavering dedication to delivering the highest standard of care to patients like you.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Dental Implants

HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M A CANDIDATE FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS?

If you’re healthy enough to undergo a routine dental extraction or oral surgery, you’re likely a good candidate for dental implant treatment. Before moving forward, we’ll make sure you have healthy gums and adequate bone to hold the implant. For optimal results, you also must be committed to good oral hygiene following the procedure and to visiting our office for regular dental exams. If you’re a heavy smoker, suffer from uncontrolled chronic disorders such as diabetes or heart disease, or have had radiation therapy to the head/neck area, you’ll need to be evaluated on an individual basis.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING TREATMENT?

Advances in implant designs and new methods like guided implant surgery have made implant placement simpler and less invasive. Dr. Amini-Salari routinely places implants in our state-of-the-art facility, typically using local anesthetic. Your treatment is completed in two stages. First, Dr. Amini-Salari places your implant using 3D software and CT scans to ensure precision. After four months of healing, the abutment and crown can be placed. In some cases, Dr. Amini-Salari can complete your treatment the same day. Our team will work with you to determine which implant treatment option best meets your needs.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

Under most circumstances, you will recover quickly and notice a significant improvement in your smile right away. We urge you to follow our post-operative instructions for the shortest recovery and best possible outcome. Depending on your situation, Dr. Amini-Salari may prescribe medications to help reduce your healing time, such as an oral antibiotic or prescription pain relief medicine. In most cases, you will look and feel your best in no time at all. Once healing is complete, your implants are easy to care for—all you have to do is brush and floss like you would natural teeth.
